Hollywood’s most fashionable bodyguard Simon Newton has revealed why supermodel Bella Hadid is his favourite celebrity to work for.
Simon is most notably known for being a bodyguard to some of the most famous people in the world including Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Rita Ora and the late Michael Jackson to name a few. While working as a bodyguard he was known for his style, being hailed by British Vogue as the “Real Style Star of London Fashion Week.”
When speaking exclusively to the Daily Star about protecting Bella, Simon said: “Bella Hadid was probably my favourite. I spent nearly three years with Bella in London.
“Yeah, she really nice girl Bella and I used to get on quite well she was just really nice to work with.” Simon later detailed what he believes makes a good bodyguard and explained that a “good relationship” with the client is very important because you are “with them 24 hours of the day so you need to get on.”
Simon was in the British army for 16 years and a segue into the world of bodyguarding was a natural progression. He soon turned his attention to pursuing a film career, having already starred as a body double for Dave Bautista in the 2018 thriller Final Score and acting alongside Robert Downey Jr. in Sherlock Holmes a Game of Shadows.
The former bodyguard is now trying something a bit different, after being praised for his fashion he has decided to set up his own clothing brand called Simon Newton London.
Talking about how his previous line of work may give him a bit of a “leg up” with his fashion brand Simon said: “I’ve already been in Vogue and GQ magazines like that and a lot of them are already interested in me going back to talking about my brand.
“I’ve got a little bit of a leg up to maybe what most people would get when I started brands with some of those big publications in the fashion world. I’m gonna gift a few different people and I know some quite famous photographers in the industry.”
